My love of music began as a child when I would lay my head against my Dad’s replica Hummingbird guitar and listen as he played and sang Ghost Riders in the Sky. A medical condition caused me to be nearly deaf for much of my early childhood so feeling the Music straight from the source was the only way I could hear it. The vibrations of my dad playing is one of my earliest and most cherished memories. We lost Dad when I was in 5th grade but I always have held on to the memory of the music.
I am a displaced Okie living in the desert Southwest where my wife and I are raising a family of seven. I was born in Muskogee, Oklahoma. I grew up on 9 acres outside of Stidham, Oklahoma in a house with a tin roof and rock floors just a few miles down the road from the farm house where my Mom was born. Saturday’s were spent fishing and climbing trees. Sunday’s were spent at Christian Church of Eufaula. My roots run deep and my story will always be about the Country.
